These thick rubber discs originally designed by Catfish-Pro can be used to put on a hook after a bait to ensure it doesn’t slip off. Particularly useful when using barbless hooks and baits such as leeches, worms and livebaits. They can also be used above hair stops to spread the pressure when mounting bigger softer baits on a hair such as luncheon meat or liver. The UK has smaller bait shields and the Euro are larger.
