Description
Super Carp Method Mix was one of our first groundbaits which has stood the test of time and is still as popular today.
It was designed for specimen carp fishing when using the Method feeder, it is a heavy, sticky mix that is full of pellets, fishmeal maize and hemp which has been crushed together to create a groundbait which contains some larger feed particles which help the mix break up to create a food rich feeding zone, perfect for carp.
Because it is a heavy, sticky mix it will also take lots of added particles such as broken or crushed boilies, and it can be made into groundbait balls and thrown or catapulted in to create a big feeding area.
Chris Ponsford says "For specimen carp on a Method feeder there is no better groundbait, it is really sticky mixed by itself so I always add sweetcorn, cooked hemp, pellets or broken boilies to it so it breaks away from the method feeder more easily. Its full of crushed pellets, hemp, maize and fishmeal so adding these compliments what is already there."
Mixing Guidlines
Super Carp Method Mix is simple to mix. Empty the 2kg bag of groundbait into a round mixing bucket, fill a 2 pint maggot tub with water, pour this onto the groundbait and mix thoroughly, then allow it to rest for 30 minutes, during this time the water will be absorbed into the groundbait. Then for best results; to remove any lumps and create an even consistency, rub between the palms of your hands.
When fishing sun and wind may dry the groundbait out a little, to combat this you can cover the mixed groundbait with a damp towel or if it does dry out just add a little more water and mix again.
